The spiritual leader who wants to keep his own ambition in check will submit his plans and visions to the judgment of a council of godly advisers. Spiritual guidance, whether it comes in the form of an inner witness or through a personal vision, is simply too subjective to be left to his judgment alone. If the spiritual leader’s inner promptings are truly from the Lord, Godly advisers will confirm them.

but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.”
Lord Jesus, give us the grace to submit our plans and visions to the counsel of wise and Godly advisers. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
