Justification refers to our right standing before God and it is not based on what we do for Him, but on what Jesus has done for us through His sinless life, His sacrificial death, and His glorious resurrection. “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight [justified] by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us” (Romans 5:1 NLT).
