As I prepare to write today’s devotional I’m thinking of the lady who said, “I couldn’t wait to graduate from College to begin my career, then I couldn’t wait to get married, then I couldn’t wait to have children, then I couldn’t wait for my children to start school so I could return to the work force, then I couldn’t wait to retire so I could start living and now I’m dying and I realize I haven’t lived at all.
Is there anything we can learn from her experience? Just this: “Don’t postpone living. Seize the moment and live it to the fullest!” I’m not talking about living irresponsibly but just embracing life and living it joyously with those we love.
“This is the day the LORD has made;

We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Lord give us the courage to embrace the moment. Amen.
