Before salvation could be provided the Lord required three things. 1) The sinless life of Jesus to satisfy the holy requirements of a righteous God. 2) The sacrificial death of Jesus—the lamb of God—to satisfy the just demands of a holy God. 3) The resurrection of Jesus to overcome death, hell, and the grave. All of this Jesus accomplished. Well might He say, “It is finished” (John 19:30)! All that is required of you and me is faith to “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and [we] will be saved” (Acts 16:31).
