Are you afraid that your storm is too big for God? Do you think your situation is more than He can handle? Or do you think He doesn’t care that you are about to drown? Paul found himself in a situation like that. Acts 27:29 says, “Fearing that we would be dashed against the rocks, they dropped four anchors from the stern and prayed for daylight.” I call these anchors lifelines, and they will keep you safe even in the most dangerous storm.

Remember it only takes a word from Jesus to calm the storm, and it only takes a word from Him to turn your situation around so, “Keep up your courage.” (Acts 27:25).

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.”

— Psalm 28:7 (NIV)

Lord Jesus, take away our fears and increase our faith. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
