We are living in parlous times. The war in Ukraine is producing hundreds of thousands of refugees, while pushing us ever closer to World War III. Inflation is at a forty year high; the cost of gasoline sets records almost daily and food prices are making it more and more difficult to feed our families, not to mention the fact that grocery store shelves are often empty. Add the escalating crime rate, political corruption, the supply chain crisis, and mass shootings and it is easy to see why despair tempts us. Jesus said:
“When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

Lord Jesus, hear our prayers and replace fear with faith. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
