When Jesus lived here on earth, He was fully human, He was fully tempted, and He was fully triumphant! When He became a man, He laid aside every advantage of His divine nature and lived as a full-fledged human being. As a human being He was tempted just like we are, but He did not sin. Because He was tempted, He understands our struggles and because He was fully triumphant, He has the power to help us when we are tempted.
