I have discovered that how a person responds to the critical incidents in his life usually says more about him than it does about the incident itself. With that thought in mind, take a moment and remember a critical incident in your own life. Was your response appropriate? If it was not appropriate invite the Lord to search your heart. Ask Him to reveal any wounded areas, any unresolved issues that could cause you to overreact. Now invite Jesus to lay His healing hands on your wounded soul and make you whole.

Lord Jesus, heal my wounded soul. Take all the hurt and anger out of my heart. Make the words of my mouth pure and life giving. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
