Spiritual battles are exhausting, often leaving us angry, lonely and tired. So what can we do? Let David be your example. When David despaired for his life, “Jonathan, Saul’s son, rose and went to [him]…and strengthened his hand in God” (1 Samuel 23:16). Let Jesus be your example. In Gethsemane He sought the support of His friends. “He told them, ‘My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me’” (Matthew 26:38 (NLT). If Jesus grew weary in the battle and needed his friends to stand with him how much more do we need godly friends to strengthened us in the Lord.
“No weapon forged against you will prevail,
— Isaiah 54:17 (NIV)
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.”
Lord Jesus, I am praying for that person who is absolutely worn out. Protect them I pray and strengthen them. Scatter their enemies. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
