Remember the people coming against you are not your real enemy. Sometimes they are evil people—willing accomplices of the enemy—but more often than not they are simply his unwitting tools. When we speak against those who oppose us we are missing the mark. Our real enemies are the evil spiritual forces who are manipulating the people who are attacking us. As the apostle said, “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood…(but) against the spiritual forces of evil” (Ephesians 6:12).
