The third group of people the leader has to deal with are the VNPs—very nice people. They like to be seen with the leader and count him as their friend. Being generous by nature, they make things like their lake house or the condo in the mountains available for the leader’s personal use. Their kindness is both a blessing and a burden. Even as it refreshes him, it also tempts him. They are fun to be with and make few demands, but, by the same token, they seldom make a significant contribution to the Kingdom.
Let me ask you a question. Who are you investing in? The VIPs, the VTPs, or the VNPs?
“But you, O man of God, Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life.”
— 1 Timothy 6:11, 12 (NKJV)
Lord, help us to invest our lives where they will make the biggest difference. Amen.
