During worship on August 17, 2003, I found myself wrestling with the Lord. I sensed He wanted me to leave my home on Beaver Lake and return to the pastorate. Finally, I surrendered, telling Him I would go anywhere He sent me. So what happened? Nothing! Except I dreamed the same dream over and over for the next seven years. Always in my dream a church in crisis called me to become their pastor. The church never had a location or a name, but it was always in crisis. Finally in May 2010 God’s call and my dream became a reality when a church in Shreveport, Louisiana called me to be their pastor. Oh, did I say they were in crisis?
“And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, ‘Come over to Macedonia and help us.'”
— Acts 16:9 (NKJV)
Lord, help us to wait on Your timing no matter how long it takes. Amen.
