No matter how many times Peter failed, God refused to give up on him. The Lord had a plan for Peter’s life, and He refused to allow Peter’s repeated failures to compromise His divine purposes. In the end God redeemed Peter’s mistakes. He touched them with His redeeming grace and turned them into material for ministry. If God did not reject Peter because of his mistakes, He will not reject us either. In truth, “God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29).
“God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
— Philippians 1:6 (NLT)
Lord, thank you for never giving up on us. Complete Your work in us and turn our mistakes into material for ministry. Amen.
