Seen from a purely human perspective things may look grim, there may appear to be no way out, but things are not always as they first appear. In 2 Kings 6 we see Elisha and his servant surrounded by an enemy army. In the natural things appeared hopeless. “…Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha” (2 Kings 6:17). The army of the Lord was greater than the military might of Aram. What was true then is still true today. The things you are facing may appear overwhelming, but God is greater than any challenge you will ever face!

Remind us, Lord, that You are greater than an challenge we will ever face. Amen.
