On the night Jesus was born in a sheep shed in Bethlehem an angel announced His arrival to a bunch of no name shepherds saying, “‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news….’” (Luke 2:10-11). So what is the good news? The good news is that because we could no go to Him God became one of us. The good news is that God loves us unconditionally. The good news is that God’s grace is always greater than our sin. The good news is that God will never give up on us no matter how many times we lose our way.
“…The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”
— Luke 2:20 (NIV)
Lord Jesus, may I be like the shepherds who were glorifying and praising God. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
