By faith we embrace the grace of God and the salvation it brings through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8 and 9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (ESV). This means that we are saved from our sins by faith alone in Christ alone and not by faith and anything we do whether it is baptism, church membership, good works, sincerity, or anything else.
“…When we have faith in the work of Christ and his sacrifice on the cross, we are justified.”
— Romans 5:1 (NASB 1995)
Lord Jesus, You are my only hope. I put my absolute faith in Your finished work. Justify me I pray in Your holy name. Amen.
