We are saved from God’s righteous judgment by grace alone—that is by His unmerited and unearned favor! The idea that a person can be saved from their sins and damnation by the grace of God alone is nearly incomprehensible. It is hard to believe that there is nothing we can do that can move God to be gracious to us. The grace of God is completely motivated out of His own character and is His kind intention and merciful action toward undeserving sinners.

Lord Jesus, I can do nothing to earn Your mercy. I am totally undeserving. My only hope is Your grace. Be gracious to me I pray in Your holy name. Amen.
