Obedience doesn’t come natural for most of us. By nature we are disobedience Obedience was a learned behavior even for Jesus. Hebrews 5:8 says, “He learned obedience by the things which he suffered.” He learned to be obedient to His heavenly Father by being obedient to His earthly parents. Following the episode in the temple when He was twelve years old He returned to Nazareth with His parents “…and was obedient to them” (Luke 2:51 NIV). Consequently He “…increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men” (Luke 2:52).
And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

Father God teach us to be obedient to You in all things. Amen.
