Jesus was both the Son of God and the Son of Man. As a man, He became so physically exhausted that He slept through a life-threatening storm, yet as the Son of God, He commanded the storm to cease. As a man, He was so deeply grieved by the death of His friend Lazarus that He wept. As the Son of God, He raised Lazarus from the dead! As the Son of Man, he empathizes with us; as the Son of God, He intervenes on our behalf.
“The Word became flesh…We have seen his glory…full of grace and truth.”
— John 1:1, 14 (NIV)
Lord Jesus, we approach You with confidence. You not only know what we are feeling, but you can also deliver us. Help us we pray in Your holy name. Amen.
