When the inevitable storms of life come we do not despair. We do not castigate ourselves for lack of faith, or berate ourselves for some real or imagined sin, nor do we blame God. Instead, we simply recognize that as members of this human family we are subject to the inevitable storms of life. And because we know that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him” (Romans 8:28), we find strength in Christ, not only to endure trouble and hardship, but to overcome it.

“He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’”

— 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your all sufficient grace. It gives us the strength to endure any hardship and overcome any storm. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
