I’m convinced most of us can survive any storm if we can be assured of three things. First we must know that God cares. Second, we must be certain that God is with us in the storm, that He will not abandon us. Finally, we must be convinced that God will redeem our situation; that He will bring some eternal good out of what appears to be a senseless tragedy.
“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
— John 16:33 (NIV)
Lord Jesus, when the future seems uncertain, increase our faith. Give us the courage to face whatever life brings. May Your near presence sustain us no matter how severe the storm. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
