If the Lord was with Moses, he would tackle anything—Pharoah, the Red Sea, the armies of Egypt, even the barren wilderness. But without the Lord’s presence he wasn’t going anywhere. Hear him as he prays, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here” (Exodus 33:15). How about you? Are you willing to go without Him? I’m not! I would rather be with the Lord in the worst storm imaginable than to be in the most peaceful setting without Him. If the Lord goes with us, we can endure anything—ridicule, opposition, persecution, even death, but without Him we aren’t going anywhere.
The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
