It is not weakness that causes us to sin, but willfulness. Yet, even in our sin we are tempted to rationalize rather than repent, but we must not succumb. Rationalization is deadly and must be avoided at all cost. It is a lie we tell ourselves that leads to self-deception and self-deception leads to death. Only true repentance produces life.

Lord Jesus, I repent of my stubborn willfulness. Forgive my sinful disobedience and turn me around. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
