Not only is God abounding in love, but He is also full of grace and rich in mercy. The apostle Peter calls Him “…the God of all grace…” (1 Peter 5:10) and the apostle Paul tells us, “…it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). He concludes, “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive in Christ” (Ephesians 2:4).
