If you want to move beyond betrayal, you must stop punishing your betrayer. You cannot punish the people who betrayed you without punishing yourself. Choose to forgive them. By forgiving them you refuse to allow this tragedy to imprison you. Even when God has intervened in a special healing way you still have to choose to walk in your healing every day. The enemy will continue to attack your mind and emotions but with the help of the Holy Spirit you can bring every thought into captivity to Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul says,
“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
— 2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV 1984)
Lord Jesus help us to let go of our hurts and embrace Your healing grace. Amen.
