The Bible commands us to give God the first fruits of our income. When we bring the first fruits and gave them to the Lord it is an act of obedience and faith. It is our way of declaring that God is our source and our security. And our obedience in all things—including the first fruits of our income—assures us of God’s blessing. Deuteronomy 28 says:
“…if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways…The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity…The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.”

Lord, increase our faith so we can increase our giving. Amen.
