When we are young it may be difficult to understand how it is more blessed to give than to receive. Such was the case with one teenage girl. To help her understand her father drove her to Walmart. As they were turning into the parking lot, they saw a homeless man standing on the corner with a sign. It read: “Please help. I’m homeless.” Rolling down his window the father handed the destitute man a twenty-dollar bill. Turning to his daughter he asked, “Would you rather be the homeless man receiving the twenty-dollar bill or the person giving it to him?”
