Joseph’s life is the most incredible “rags to riches” story ever written. At seventeen he was sold into slavery, a short time later he was falsely accused of attempted rape and sent to prison, then at age thirty Pharaoh pardoned him and made him the second most powerful man in all of Egypt. Is there a lesson for us here? Absolutely. Although his enemies tried to destroy him, God rescued Joseph from their hands and fulfilled His purposes in Joseph’s life.

Lord Jesus, help us to remember Joseph when it seems everything in life has conspired against us. Remind us that You are with us and that you will fulfill Your purpose in our lives. In Your holy names we pray. Amen.
