The third type of faith identified in the New Testament is the fruit of the Spirit. In Galatians 5:22 the New International Version translate “faith” as “faithfulness.” The gift of the Spirit “faith” is a supernatural faith that produces miracles and supernatural deliverances. Faithfulness is unconditional trust in God without recourse to reason or understanding. The gift of the Spirit faith changes our circumstances. Faithfulness changes us, enabling us to live with joy and victory regardless of our circumstances.
“I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances…Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.”
— Philippians 4:11 and 13 (MSG)
Lord help us to be faithful whatever our circumstances. Amen.
