The enemy of our souls uses disinformation—what the Bible calls lies—to confuse us. Our only defense against his lies is the truth of God’s word. That’s why the apostle commands us to “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist” (Ephesians 6:14). The only way to refute the lies of the enemy is with the truth. When he tells you God does not love you rebuke him with the Word. Nothing “in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:39).
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for… casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God…”
— 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NKJV)
Lord help us to live in Your Word so we can defend ourselves against the lies of the enemy. Amen.
