As I look back over my life it is the hard times I remember most clearly and it is there that has God revealed Himself to me in truly life changing ways, howbeit His presence was seldom easy to discern. I do not court hard times but neither do I flee from them. Even as God spoke to Job out of the storm (Job 38:1), so does He speak to us, assuring us of His love and the promise of His presence, therefore we will not fear no matter how dark the night and we will thank Him even in the hard times.

Lord Jesus, we thank you for the hard times for when we are weak, then we are strong. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
