Many postmodern believers have little or no sense of sin. Everyone does what is right in his or her own eyes. So where do we go from here? How do we recover a holy fear (reverence) of God and a sense of sin?

We must have an encounter with the One who is altogether holy beyond anything we can imagine. An encounter like the one Isaiah had when he entered the temple. He saw the Lord high and lifted up and Angelic beings were crying, “‘Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty . . .’ at the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke” (Isaiah 6:3-4).

“Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom.
Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.”

— Proverbs 9:10 (NLT)

Lord Jesus give me a revelation of Your glory that I might fear (reverence) You as I should. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
