I don’t know about you but when I’m comfortable and well fed, I want to stay put. Maybe Elijah was like that too. Maybe that’s why God allowed the brook to dry up (1 Kings 17:7). Take a long look at your situation. Are you continuing to flourish or is the brook drying up. If things are changing, ask yourself some hard questions. Is this an attack of the enemy or is God trying to get my attention? Is God prompting me to make a change or is it time to dig in and hold steady through this difficult season? The key to your future is to hear and obey.
“In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.”
— Proverbs 3:6 (TLB)
Lord Jesus, give me an ear to hear Your voice and a will to obey. Amen.
