Conviction from the Holy Spirit is always specific. When He convicts us of sin He identifies it so we can deal with it. Condemnation is vague. It leaves us feeling guilty, but unable to identify a specific cause of our guilt. The enemy does not identify a particular sin, lest we deal with it and be delivered. The only time he is specific is when he condemns us of sins we’ve already confessed. If you are feeling guilty about a sin that you have already confessed that feeling does not come from God, so reject it. When God forgives our sins He never brings them up again!
“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”
— Psalm 103:12
Lord Jesus, we thank You that we are free from condemnation. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
