I have never seen so much anger. Road rage is rampant. Domestic violence is out of control. Social media is filled with toxic rage and politics has become a blood sport. If you struggle with anger, take heed to the words of Jesus who said, “You’re familiar with the command to the ancients, ‘Do not murder.’ I’m telling you that anyone who is so much as angry with a brother or sister is guilty of murder… [and] you are on the brink of hellfire. The simple moral fact is that words kill” (Matthew 5:21-22 MSG).
“Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared.”
— Proverbs 22:24-25 (NIV)
Lord forgive us and deliver us anger. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
