Yesterday I told you that God sometimes speaks to us during the course of an ordinary conversation. If you are not sensitive to the Holy Spirit you may miss it. Take a moment and replay some of the recent conversations you’ve had. If nothing comes to mind don’t try to force it. Just determine that in the future you will be alert for those moments when the Lord speaks through others. Now ask Him to give you ears to hear His voice, a heart to receive His word, a will to obey, and faith to act.

Lord Jesus, help us discern Your counsel even when it is our friend’s voice we hear. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
