The Old Testament contains numerous stories filled with life lessons for those of us living in the 21st century. 1 Corinthians 10:11 says, “These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age.” One of my favorite stories is recorded in 2 Kings 6. This portion of Biblical history has several valuable principles to teach us. First it teaches us that if we have ears to hear the Holy Spirit will warn us of impending danger.
“Time and again Elisha warned the king, so that he was on his guard in such places.”

Lord Jesus make us sensitive the voice of the Holy Spirit. May we heed His warnings and escape the enemy’s trap. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
