Although Moses’ first attempt to deliver the Israelites was an unmitigated failure the Lord did not give up on him. “After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai” (Acts 7:30). “Then the Lord said to him, ‘Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.’ “This is the same Moses they had rejected with the words, ‘Who made you ruler and judge?’ He was sent to be their ruler and deliverer by God himself…” (Acts 7:33-35). You may have failed but the Lord hasn’t given up on you. He didn’t give up on Moses and He won’t give up on you.
“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”
— Romans 11:29 (NKJV)
Thank you, Lord, for never giving up on us. Amen.
