When you’re in Gethsemane, the situation can look hopeless. No matter how desperately you pray, things never seem to get any better. Worst of all, it feels like God has forsaken you. It feels like you have been left to wander alone in the darkness, stumbling over the wreckage of your world. But if hardship and suffering is all you are seeing you are only seeing with the natural eye. “Our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
— Romans 8:18
Lord Jesus, help us to look beyond our present circumstances to our eternal destiny. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
