Once we were driving on a narrow two-lane highway in heavy traffic when an oncoming automobile suddenly tried to pass a slow-moving car. One minute the lane ahead of us was clear and in the next instant a speeding automobile was hurling toward us. A head on collision seemed certain. In an instant that automobile disappeared and the highway ahead of me was clear again. Glancing in my rear view mirror I saw that car speeding down the highway in the correct lane and ahead of the car it had attempted to pass. There was absolutely no way that could have happened. It was physically impossible. We could only conclude that the Lord had supernaturally repositioned that car to prevent a head-on collision. There was no other explanation!
“Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night,
not flying arrows in the day,
Not disease that prowls through the darkness,
not disaster that erupts at high noon.
Even though others succumb all around,
drop like flies right and left,
no harm will even graze you.
You’ll stand untouched…
because GOD’s your refuge.”— Psalm 91:5-9 (MSG)
Lord Jesus, thank you for sparing our lives. Continue to protect us from all the unseen dangers that surround us. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
