In Matthew 28 Jesus declared, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Matthew chapter 9 gives us an overview of His authority. In verses 1-8 He heals a paralyzed man and forgives his sins. In verses 18-23 He heals a woman who has suffered with an issue of blood for twelve years and then he raises Jairus’ daughter from the dead. In verses 27-34 He heals two blind men and then casts a demon out of a man. Through these power encounters Jesus demonstrates his authority over everything that would come against us. He forgives sin, heals the sick, casts out demons and raises the dead! What He has done for others He will do for you.

Lord Jesus, take authority over every power in my life. Put every thought and emotion that opposes You under Your feet. Your holy name I pray. Amen.
