“Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life” (Psalm 23:6 KJV). I love those words but there have been times in my life when they didn’t seem real; times when it seemed like tragedy and disappoint dogged my steps and I was tempted to doubt the Lord’s gracious care. Nonetheless as I look back over my life I can see how the Lord has redeemed every situation no matter how impossible things seemed. Truly goodness and mercy have followed me all the days of my life!

Lord Jesus, I am praying for those who are struggling with disappointment and tragedy right now. Hold them close to Your heart until the storm passes. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
