By living in the Word Jesus fortified His soul against the attack of the enemy. Without fail He defended Himself with the Word. Each time Satan tempted Him He said, “It is written…” (Luke 4:4) and then quoted the rebuttal. Had He relied upon His own resources of logic or will power He would have undoubtedly failed. “Humanity, however strong or good is never a match for evil. Only the Word of God has the authority to resist the power of Satan.”

Lord Jesus help us to live in the Word so that we will be prepared to deal with temptation when it comes. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
