I agree with Kierkegaard, the Danish theologian who said, “We don’t read the Bible it reads us.” The Old Testament is literally crammed with biographical accounts, all of which expose the true character of our human nature. To tell you the absolute truth, I see something of myself in each of them, especially in their weaknesses.

So what Biblical character do you most resemble? In what way? What is the Lord trying to tell you?

Lord Jesus, help me to learn from those who have gone before me lest I repeat their mistakes. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
