According to the scriptures demons have the power to afflict their victims with various diseases and physical handicaps. Sometimes they cripple their victims (Luke 13:11), at other times they make them blind, deaf, and/or mute (Matthew 12:22), or they cause them to suffer grand mall seizures (Matthew 17:14-18). That is not to say everyone suffering from these symptoms is demon possessed for that is not the case. But there instances when physical illnesses are caused by demonic affliction. When that is the case the only cure is the expulsion of the demon.

Lord Jesus, You are the healer. No sickness or disease can resist Your authority no matter its cause. Heal those who are suffering. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
