Knowing how headstrong I can be, I’ve developed a daily habit of laying all of my hopes, dreams, ambitions, and desires at the foot of the Cross. I give them to God while praying, “Lord Jesus, I give You permission to change my desires, to superimpose Your will on mine. Now guide me through my surrendered desires and fulfill Your purposes in my life.”

Lord Jesus, reveal the plans and purposes You have for me through my surrendered desires that I may do Your will each day. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
