Well, it has been said that prayer changes things, and it does, but more importantly prayer changes us! It brings our thoughts and feelings into perfect accord with the Father’s desires. It restores our soul, reshapes us into God’s image. It enlarges our vision and enables us to think God’s thoughts after Him. It puts all of life into perspective and brings eternity into focus. This is true even even when we do not realize it is happening. And it is this inner transformation which enables us to live an overcoming life.
