When I inevitably face death, as we all shall, I am determined to praise the Lord for the promise of eternal life. For I know that if I am absent from this mortal body I will be present with Christ (2 Corinthians 5:8) and that for me to live is Christ, but to die is gain (Philippians 1:21). Not even death can separate us from the Lord of life (Romans 8:38).

“Jesus said…‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.” — John 11:25 (NIV 1984)

“Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”

— 1 Corinthians 15:55 (NIV 1984)

Lord Jesus, You have conquered death, hell and the grave and for this I give you praise; now and always. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
