At its heart, Christianity is more than sermon or song. It’s kindness—a cup of cold water given in His name. Sometimes it means giving comfort in the moment of tragedy or encouragement to a family in crisis. At other times, we help celebrate a fortieth birthday or a fiftieth wedding anniversary. Just doing what we can to let our lights shine. Some people call that charity. I call it “Blue-Collar Christianity.” How “Blue-Collar” are you?

“…’I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’”

— Matthew 25:40 (NIV 1984)

Lord Jesus, help us to be “Blue Collar” Christians serving the least among us as if we were serving You. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
