Have you been misunderstood? So was Jesus. Have you been betrayed by a friend? So was Jesus. Have you felt the pinch of poverty? So did Jesus. Have you been lied about, falsely accused, and unjustly condemned? So was Jesus. And because Jesus has experienced everything you will ever experience, He understands what you are going through. The things that touch you touch Him. Therefore you can come boldly to the throne of grace, assured of His loving compassion.

Lord Jesus, it gives us great encouragement to know that You understand the things we are facing. Help us to trust You with our deepest hurts. In Your holy name we pray, amen.
